those pines

Standard
my bones are carved from those pines
my infant breathing was that mist across a northern lake
the hues of late autumn shaped my skin, my hair
i was a pike leaping
a loon calling
the moose’s hoofmark in the swamp
with water still seeping into it
wild geese
flutter behind my eyes
